On the main floor of an ancient building in the historic town centre of Padua, a small single room apartment houses the main entrance, the dining room and the living room. The Client’s need is to separate the rooms, particularly the entrance. The aim of the project is to avoid any additions and resolve the various roles with spatial continuity, without reducing the amount of natural light.
A slightly curved birch wood wall encloses the space for the entrance/wardrobe, separating it from the dining area. This same wall serves also as a living room, with the use of a velvet seat of the same length, completed with support surfaces and illuminated by a glass unit, a source of light.
